Read this part first if the truck is how you earn

We are going to talk you out of this sometimes.

A pawn loan means we hold the truck and the title until the loan is paid. If that truck is how you get to job sites, haul your tools, or run your business, handing us the keys creates a bigger problem than the one you came in to solve.

So we ask. Every time. What does this truck do for you Monday morning?

Some customers have a second vehicle and the answer is easy. Some pawn a boat or a quad instead and keep the truck working. Others decide the timing is wrong and come back in a month. All three of those are better outcomes than a loan that costs you your income.

What we will not do is pretend you can keep driving it. That promise belongs to a product Washington does not allow, and you can read why on our car title loan alternative page.

Why trucks appraise well here

Pickups are the backbone of the used market in King and Pierce Counties. Contractors, landscapers, tree crews, and every weekend project in the south sound needs one.

That demand shows up in the number we can quote you.

We also sell vehicles out of the same Auburn shop, which means we are watching genuine local resale from one week to the next rather than consulting a national average that flattens regional differences into a single unhelpful figure. A four wheel drive short bed in October behaves nothing like a two wheel drive long bed in July. Our process prices off what we see actually selling nearby.

Why does a regional appraisal matter so much on a pickup?

Because the south sound runs on construction, landscaping and tree work, and a truck configured for that kind of daily punishment commands a premium here that the same vehicle would never carry in a warmer, flatter market.

  • Half ton, three quarter ton and one ton pickups
  • Diesel and gas
  • Four wheel drive and two wheel drive
  • Work trucks, flatbeds and utility beds
  • Box trucks and light commercial vehicles

Higher value collateral usually means a larger loan. That is the whole reason trucks are worth bringing to us over a smaller vehicle.

What moves the number up or down

  1. Year, make and model. Certain diesels barely depreciate around here. Others drop fast.
  2. Mileage. A 2015 with 90,000 miles is a different conversation than the same truck at 280,000.
  3. Mechanical condition. We start it, drive it, and look underneath. Transmission and injector problems show up fast.
  4. Clear title in your name. No lien, and the name matches your ID.
  5. Bed, tires and body. A rusted out bed or four mismatched tires costs you something. Not a lot. Something.
  6. Aftermarket work. A lift kit or a canopy may add value. It may also narrow the pool of buyers. We tell you which way it went.

Ever notice how the truck you were sure was worth twenty grand is worth exactly what someone will hand over for it on a Tuesday?

What to bring to our Auburn shop

  • The truck
  • The clear title, in your name
  • A valid photo ID
  • All keys and fobs

If there is a lien on it, we cannot lend against it. Call (253) 380-0040 first and save yourself the drive.

Walk in Monday through Friday, 10 to 5. Weekends by appointment, 8 to 11. You can also start your quote online or read our pawn process in full.

No credit check, and no collections

We are a licensed Washington pawnbroker working under RCW 19.60. The loan is secured by the truck itself, which is why we never pull your credit and never report to the bureaus.

If you cannot repay, you forfeit the truck and we sell it. That is the end of it. No lawsuit, no collections agency, no mark on your file.

Plenty of customers find that arrangement considerably cleaner than an unsecured personal loan that follows them through the credit reporting system for years afterward, and honestly, we agree with them. The consequence is contained to the property itself, which is the entire point of a collateral arrangement.

One location, one appraiser, and the same face when you come back for your keys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I keep driving my truck during the loan?

No. We hold the truck and the title until the loan is paid off. If you need it daily for work, tell us and we will look at other options with you instead.

Do you check credit for a truck pawn loan?

No. The truck is the collateral. We need a valid photo ID and a clear title in your name, and that is the extent of the paperwork on you.

Do you take diesel trucks and work trucks?

Yes, and they often appraise higher than a standard pickup. Flatbeds, utility beds, box trucks and light commercial vehicles all work. High mileage is not a disqualifier on a work truck, because we expect a vehicle that has earned its living to show the miles, and we simply account for that in the appraisal.

What if my truck has a lien on it?

We need a clear title with no lien. If a lender still holds an interest, we cannot lend against the truck. Call (253) 380-0040 anyway, because a boat, trailer, motorcycle or quad may get you there.

How much can I borrow against a truck?

It comes down to year, make, model, mileage, condition and local resale demand. Trucks usually support larger loans than cars, which is the main reason it is worth bringing a pickup to us rather than a smaller vehicle when you have the choice. Bring it in for a real number.

How long does the appraisal take?

Minutes, not days. Most people are in and out the same visit with cash in hand.
